SNOW STALKING & STILL HUNTING

The East Anatolian terrains where we perform our snow tracking hunt, you will have many open plateaus, soft hills with hardly any bush. These bush and marches by the sides of small creeks are the day-time hiding places of the boar. We take our hunters to the terrain and place them to the most suitable points. The boars are then driven out off their beds to the open and provide the hunter excellent shooting possibilities. In other words these are small drives that take only several minutes and many such drives can be performed during the day.

Another characteristic of the Eastern Anatolia is that, comperably the very low human pressure on wildboars in Turkey in general, is almost null out there at the eastern parts. Therefore it is very common to see wildboar herds marching or grazing in the day time. Especially during the winter nights when the temperatures are much below the freezing point of the earth, they go out of the bush to feed much before the dark, even sometimes at noon time.

Or if you trust your own physical performance, we have another program. It is the tracking of boars that have wandered at night and bedded in some thickets. Selecting the tracks of the solitary male and tracking him to his bed, the bush, flush him to the open and hunt him. When boars are flushed by your hunting guide, the hunter than has the possibility of comfortable shots at the boar in the open. 1, 2 or even 4 can hunt together. However tracking needs good phisical condition and can last hours of snow walking before one can reach the bed of the boar. In some occasions snow shoes may be used in those trackings. But it is a challenging real sport with a very satisfying success. But in many occasions for the hunter who does not want it the hard way, we provide closest access with the vehicle.

Besides all, if you want en extra attempt for the guarantee of your tuskers, and fill every possible gap, providing that you express your demand to us latest a month before your arrival, our team will than prepare a large region for the feeding of the boars and have the tuskers be waiting for you and your friends by appointment. By this you will have all methods of hunting fulfilled. Stalking in snow, night waiting and small drives.

Rifle using is advised. Shooting ranges may differ from 30m to 250m.
